Ward & Company market report for Friday, July 30, 2010

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down down 1 points to 10,466 on 838 million shares traded. The NYSE Common Index up 4 to 6999.

The DJIA was opened higher on light public institutional buying. Stock prices reversed in a narrow range into the close.

At the close 1845 stocks were up, 1147 stocks were down, and 122 stocks were unchanged for the day.

Important big block activity occurred in: Morgan Stanley and Qwest.
