Ward & Company market report for Monday, February 06, 2012

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 17 to 12,845 on 507 million shares traded. The NYSE Composite Index closed down 20 to 8040.

The DJIA was opened lower on light public institutional selling. Stock prices traded in a narrow range into the close.

At the close 1188 stocks were up, 1798 stocks were down, and 111 stocks were unchanged for the day.

Important big block activity occured in: Verizon and Hewlett Packard.
